Our mission at 32 Dental is to change the way you experience a dental visit in a fun, professional, family-like atmosphere. At 32 Dental you will find a team of caring, friendly, respectful and comforting individuals who strive to make you feel special as you reach your dental goals.
Dr. Patel was born in Zambia and moved to America when she was four. She was raised in Sumter, SC with her parents, brother and twin sister. She attended the University of South Carolina and received a degree in Biology in 2006. She then went on to pursue her dream of becoming a dentist at the Medical University of South Carolina where she received numerous academic and clinical awards. She was the recipient of the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Award, John Meador Sneed Scholarship, and the International College of Dentists Award in addition to being on the Dean's List during her time at MUSC. Upon graduation, she was asked to become a member of the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
After receiving her degree she completed a year at a General Practice Residency at Palmetto Health Richland where she expanded her duties to include oral surgery, endodontics, implant dentistry and complex restorative procedures.
Dr. Patel is a member of the American Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, South Carolina Dental Association, and the South Carolina Academy of Implant Studies. She is the past president of Greater Columbia Dental Association, the past president of the Mid-Carolina Study Academy, Board member of the Central District of the South Carolina Dental Association and is involved in several dental study clubs around Columbia.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and following the Gamecocks and the Carolina Panthers.
Courtney is our Dental Hygienist. She is a hard-working mom to a one-year-old son, Cruz, who is her daily motivation. In addition to graduating from Midlands Technical College Dental Hygiene program, Courtney earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Francis Marion University in 2015. She accrued over a decade of customer service experience during her academic career. While working in a retail management role, Courtney learned the importance of the customer experience. She applies this knowledge daily as a friendly, caring and proficient Dental Hygienist. In her free time, Courtney enjoys going to the gym, traveling, and trying new foods.
Alexis is our Dental Hygienist. She has a deep passion for continuing education and personal growth. Following graduating from The University of South Carolina in 2013, Alexis pursued a degree in Dental Hygiene. For her, the most rewarding part of being a dental hygienist is the relationships that she builds and helping others be as healthy as possible. Alexis is always looking for new ways to enrich lives through dentistry. Her favorite things to do in her free time revolve around her family. They love Gamecock Football games, the lake, and walks in their neighborhood. When Alexis is not spending time with her sweet husband and their families, you can find her curled up in a corner with a good book.
Sandra is Dr. Patel’s Dental Assistant. She is originally from Germany and has been an assistant for over 25 years. Before joining our team in August 2012, Sandra previously worked with Dr. Patel at Palmetto Health Dental Center. She has worked events for Dentrust Dental International, Inc. assisting our Military Reservists in their oral health care needs. In her free time, Sandra enjoys her family, friends, animals, traveling and the outdoors.
Jasmine is Dr. Patel’s Dental Assistant. Following graduating from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Business and Finance, she returned to school to pursue her passion for oral hygiene. Shortly after graduating from Carolina Career School and Training Institute in January of 2022, Jasmine joined our team in the spring of 2022. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and trying new things.
Joan is our Practice Coordinator. She has been specializing in dental office management and customer service for 20 years. Joan and Dr. Patel connected during Dr. Patel’s Prisma Richland Dental Center residency, where Joan was the Insurance Coordinator. Joan is a lover of shoes and has a plethora of all types and styles. In her spare time, Joan enjoys decorating, traveling, and reading.
Jordan is our Front Office Coordinator. She has seven years of experience in customer service and client relations. She is looking forward to greeting you with a smile. In Jordan’s free time she enjoys reciting Friends word for word; golfing with her husband; and walking her chocolate lab, Bourbon.
Karis is our Front Desk Coordinator. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Throughout her eight years of customer service experience, Karis realized that her favorite part of her job is learning about the people she helps. Karis became interested in oral healthcare as a little girl while spending her days watching her dad make appliances at his orthodontics office. In her free time, Karis enjoys the gym, walks with friends, Gamecock football games, and playing pickleball.
